glass blanksIf you’re in need of glass blanks, Macalaster Bicknell Company of New Jersey has you covered. We stock all kinds of glassware – from beaker blanks to volumetric flasks, and everything in-between.

At Macalaster Bicknell, we’re known for our high tech scientific glassware. And we offer a wide selection of borosilicate glass blanks for all your laboratory applications.

Glass Blanks

For titration purposes, we recommend our Erlenmeyer flask. The flasks’ wide base, tapered sides and narrow neck make it ideal for swirling solutions with minimal risk of spillage. Liquids can also be boiled in the flask, as hot vapors condense on the upper section, reducing solvent loss. The short necks are also great for supporting filter funnels.

We also offer round bottom flask glass blanks. These flasks are often used for distillation, as the spherical shape encourages uniform heating. The borosilicate glass has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, meaning it is resistance to thermal shock. The glass is also chemical resistant, which prevents cross contamination in the lab. And because a sphere can evenly distribute stress across it’s surface, these glass blanks also resist fracturing when in a vacuum.

In addition to traditional round bottom flasks, we also offer Kjeldahl flasks. This glass blank is a type of round bottom flask, but it has a very long neck, and is used primarily to determine the amount of nitrogen in food, soil, and other compounds.

Macalaster Bicknell also stocks glass blanks that are specifically designed for storage. From media bottles, serum bottles, reagent bottles and even jar glass blanks, we have the products to satisfy all your storage needs.

We also stock separatory and funnel glass blanks for various applications.
